In the Middle East (Turkey), this green pepper of the so-called Demre type is very popular: its shape is that of a Cayenne (Lombok), but the ripe color is green. The hanging fruits are thin, ribbed and very long: 25-27 cm! Harvest them fresh; the taste is fresh and mildly hot. When dried, they become more bitter. The plants can overwinter very well when potted; they are tough and are happy to grow again the following year.
