This is a relatively large Habanero with an intense flavour. ‘Ata Big’ is also known as ‘Congo Pepper’ and likely originates from Africa. The bushy plants bear many 5 x 5 cm fruits, which resemble small bell peppers with smooth, wrinkled, thin walls. They contain a lot of juice, have an extraordinarily fruity taste, and are very hot. In the kitchen, they are typically used for making sauces and marinades, but due to their thin fruit walls, they are also good for drying and making chili powder.
