This Chilean pepper is a true all-rounder, suitable for many applications. The plant grows to a maximum height of 90 cm. The moderately hot peppers grow to about 9 cm long and have a distinct lemon flavor. The peppers change color during ripening from light green to yellow and eventually turn red. They are best when they are almost red. One of the earliest peppers! Popular in Italian dishes, salads, soups, sauces, stir-fries, and of course in various Asian and South American dishes. The plant, and especially its side branches, need support because otherwise, the large and heavy fruits will break the branches.
