Yellow medium-sized fruits, slightly bulging in the centre...
Patisson is the French name for a flat, ornate fruit that closely resembles a flying saucer. The fruit is closely related to zucchini and tastes very similar. The intention is to harvest them (for consumption) young to very young, the skin then still feels "squeaky." It's an absolute luxury to harvest them so young that the flower is still attached... Cooked whole in oil, this makes a beautiful dish! To preserve the fruit for display, you should let it ripen on the (compact) plant. Enjoy this beauty!
