Flat, decorative fruit, its unique shape resembling a "flying saucer."
The color is dark green and the size is 15cm in diameter.
Harvested young (3-7cm), delicious in stir-fries, among other dishes.
Patisson is the French name for a flat, ornamental fruit, which strongly resembles a flying saucer. The fruit is closely related to zucchini and is also very similar in taste. The intention is to harvest them (for consumption) young to very young, the skin then still feels "squeaky." It is especially luxurious to harvest them so young that the flower is still attached... Prepared whole in oil, it makes a beautiful dish! To preserve the fruit for show, you should let it ripen on the (compact) plant. Enjoy this beauty!
