Flat fruit with the decorative shape of a "flying saucer." Ripe diameter 12-16 cm. Non-vining. This mixture mainly contains pale yellow fruits with decorative green stripes and marbling.
Patisson is the French name for a flat, ornamental fruit, which closely resembles a flying saucer. The fruit is closely related to zucchini and tastes very similar. The intention is to harvest them (for consumption) young to very young, when the skin still feels "squeaky." It's an absolute luxury to harvest them so young that the flower is still attached... Prepared whole in oil, it makes a beautiful dish! To preserve the fruit for show, you should allow it to ripen on the (compact) plant. Enjoy this beauty!
