ORGANICALLY GROWN SEEDS! In England (the country that has never said goodbye to parsnips) this is a popular landrace. Quite disease-resistant (against so-called canker), slender in shape and (on light soils) quite long. A good supplier of weight with a very good taste. With some effort, a good champion can be grown from it (see photo)!
Sweet, white root, cultivated for centuries. Parsnip remains have been found in Switzerland and Southern Germany during excavations from the Stone Age (9000 BC and later). Parsnips became truly popular around the turn of the century in Roman times in Italy. They are quite frost-resistant; the taste is enhanced after the frost has "passed over" them. Please note: in warm and sunny weather, the leaves can cause irritation during harvesting.
