This historic landrace, very popular in Italy, is a giant among peppers: they can grow up to 25 cm long and are 6 cm wide at the top, tapering slightly towards the end. Give the plants a sunny and sheltered spot or grow them in a greenhouse, and you'll be rewarded with a deliciously aromatic and sweet harvest of red fruits. Of course, they can also be harvested green, at which point they have a slightly spicier taste.
