A super sweet and flavourful pepper in the shape of a chilli! You can slice it into beautiful, round rings for salads, and (according to Italians) this is one of the tastiest peppers for roasting. Around 1880, seeds of this pepper were brought to North America (by emigrants) by the Italian Nardello family (from Basilicata, Lucania). The fruits remain very tasty after freezing, and who has ever dried bell peppers? It's possible with this old variety! Plants about 60-70 cm high yield a large harvest of these elongated, 25 cm long pepper-shaped fruits.
