THE FIRST WHITE-FLESHED PAPAYA WE KNOW!
A much sought-after crop for Indian and Surinamese cuisine. The perennial plant produces pleasantly sweet, fleshy, elongated fruits. In winter, place them in a heated greenhouse or as a potted plant indoors. The young leaves are a delicacy, and the male flower clusters are also eaten (stir-fry briefly). In summer, it can be moved outdoors in a large pot as a container plant. It is already exceptionally beautiful as a foliage plant, and fruit can appear from the 2nd year.
'Lamaiya' has ivory-white flesh and is a hybrid with very good growth characteristics, yield reliability, and fruit quality, making it a highly recommended original.
