An interesting plant with finely veined leaf bases, similar to chervil. After the pure white umbels, funny, characteristic, up to 8cm long fruits in the shape of a needle or comb (pecten-veneris = Venus comb) appear. The seeds are shot away! The ancient Greeks, more than 400 BC, already ate the young stem tips as a seasoning in dishes, but also raw in salads. We are going to rediscover this plant (rare in the wild in the Netherlands). I would love to hear your findings!
