Cantaloupe 'Honey Bun' F1
- Product number: 202225
- Origin: Mediterranean region
- Latin: Cucumis melo
Perfect for smaller gardens or large pots - this strong and small Cantaloupe melon forms a compact, bushy plant. The round fruits have a diameter of up to 12 cm with deep orange flesh and a honey-sweet taste. Each plant will produce 3-4 delicious Cantaloupe melons. Production is, of course, even better in a greenhouse, but outdoor cultivation has a good chance with this variety!
Cantaloupe or Netted melon (Reticulatus group) Climbing, with musk aroma and scent, lobed and (often) heart-shaped leaves. The flesh is orange or green and the rind is always netted. Cantaloupe is the French spelling for the Italian Cantaluppi, the popes' estate, where in the early Middle Ages melons from the then accessible world were collected and cultivated.
