Sweetcorn 'Zoete Jan'

  • Product number: 195710
  • Origin: Central America
  • Latin: Zea mays

The ideal corn for (large) pots and gardens! Since 1975, one of our customers has been working on this heirloom variety to combine sweetness and relatively compact growth. And every year, the variety is improved! Furthermore, 'Sweet Jan' is early to harvest, and a (pre-)spring with cold and rain doesn't bother it! Due to its low height (150 cm), cultivation in large pots is a good option! Planted in the garden, it means: more plants per m2 (30x40 cm), hence more yield (for the overachievers among us...). Each large, yellow cob yields over 200 kernels.
