Sweetcorn 'Jade Green'
- Product number: 195500
- Origin: Central America
- Latin: Zea mays
Corn with jade green cobs is a rare specialty! In addition, the plants are very compact (hip-height) and ripen very early. For an early record: sow them indoors in the last week of March; with a bit of luck, they can be planted out at the end of April and will flower as early as the end of May! Due to its early flowering (even with normal cultivation), this variety is never affected by fodder corn. Harvested "milk-ripe," it surprises with its pleasant soft-sweet taste and, above all, its beautiful jade green color, which turns olive green upon ripening. Young leaves are often decoratively reddish. Harvest from July! Of course, this variety is very suitable for growing in pots.
