A rare but valuable white variety from 1902, cultivated by Luther Hill from Andover Township (Sussex). This historic variety produces 2-5 side shoots, each with 2 cobs. Therefore, give each plant enough space (40-50 cm). The cobs are balanced sweet, but be aware: historic corn is only at its best for 2-3 weeks, so don't harvest too late. Furthermore: eat it quickly after harvesting, waiting every day diminishes the taste. It tolerates poor summers well, making it a very good variety for Northern Europe! Once you've tasted a sweet landrace (at the optimal moment), you won't need a modern super-sweet hybrid anymore...
