Compared to the old green varieties, red Brussels sprouts have a softer and slightly sweeter taste.
The plants are very ornamental and deep blue-red in color. Red Brussels sprouts were developed by the founder of our company: C.N. Vreeken (Kees). 'Red Ball' is a noticeable improvement on the old variety 'Rubine'. Perhaps a bit more regular in shape, the color and taste are the same.
