(Asparagus) broccoli 'Bonarda' F1

  • Product number: 145145
  • Origin: Mediterranean Sea region
  • Latin: Brassica oleracea

A very productive overwintering variety! This hardy mini-broccoli forms deep purple florets on slender stems and very strong, upright plants. You should plant them in summer or early autumn to overwinter and harvest in early spring. Harvest window of 3 weeks. Later ripening prevents damage to the flowers from early spring frost. NOTE: Vernalization (prolonged exposure to cold temperatures) is required for a successful harvest. Below -7°C, Bonarda should be protected with several layers of fleece or a polytunnel. This professional variety has good disease resistance.
