Autumn Cauliflower 'Newlyn' F1

  • Product number: 138910
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Brassica oleracea

Newlyn is a striking newcomer for reliable harvesting in late to very late autumn. This variety is characterised by good self-covering (leaves grow over the head, keeping it white), a particularly firm head and excellent uniformity (convenient for the grower). The crop remains very healthy until late autumn, which guarantees a healthy base. Good resistance to night frost combined with the remarkably firm head in late autumn makes this variety highly desirable for closing out the season. Its good post-harvest shelf life is praised by both consumers and greengrocers...!
If you plant them around mid to late July, the harvest will fall between mid-November and mid-January.

Cauliflower requires nutritious, well-worked and moisture-retentive soil. Plant out at 50 cm.
