Winter Cauliflower 'Balak' F1

  • Product number: 138410
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Brassica oleracea

Professional winter cauliflower is becoming easier to plan because winters are becoming milder. This variety can take a beating, is very frost-resistant and if planted in week 31-32, the harvest will fall approximately in weeks 15-16. That means 240 growing days (3/4 year...!)
You harvest a beautiful white and firm cauliflower. Make sure you have humus-rich soil with sufficient organic nutrients; the plant should flower out of abundance (and not out of necessity).
Balak is stronger than the highly praised Corella: more resistant to leaf spot disease and more frost-resistant.

Cauliflower requires nutritious, well-worked and moisture-retaining soil. Plant out at 50 cm.

Names:
Latin: Brassica oleracea
