Amsoi or Mustard Greens 'Golden Frills' has finely incised leaves with a fresh light green colour and a piquant taste. The leaves can be eaten at both young and mature stages.
In the Himalayan region, amsoi or mustard greens have been cultivated and eaten for over 5000 years. In many other countries too, this leafy vegetable is part of the daily meal and can be prepared just like spinach and other leafy greens.
This vegetable is very winter-hardy. Sowing in late summer allows you to eat it in autumn and winter. Sown in early summer, the plants easily bolt, but then produce beautiful, edible yellow flowers.
