In the Netherlands, it has been used for years as a (reasonably good) rootstock for cucumbers. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847525 Grafting clip 2.5 mm (for a lot of information: google "grafting cucumbers"). But this squash also deserves to be grown. Oval in shape (15-20cm in diameter and 20-25cm long) and green-yellow mottled with smooth skin. Young, it's edible like zucchini, and when ripe, it's great for decoration, but the flesh is also perfectly edible (a bit cucumber-like). The leaves are decorative and resemble fig leaves.
