Who still remembers tuberous chervil? A forgotten vegetable since the 18th and 19th centuries. Short, thick taproots with a mildly sweet, slightly chestnut-like taste. Despite the name, it's not related to common chervil; in fact, its leaves are slightly toxic. Delicious with a meat stew or in a puree, these tubers are much better known in France. We offer an improved French variety here, which, although expensive, provides better and more consistent production than the wild variety.
