A fascinating genus, comprising tropical shrubs and trees. The sugar-apple forms a small tree and grows into a sizable plant in a pot. The fruits are certainly the tastiest of this genus! Cultivation now takes place worldwide, including in the subtropics. An attempt to grow fruits on the container plant will most likely be rewarded. The fruit is actually a compound cluster of fruits. The pulp is creamy white, very soft, juicy, and sweet-aromatic in taste. Please note: the seeds can be poisonous!
