A gourd that wins all length competitions! Kikinda Competition is the name of this gourd, but also an annual pumpkin festival in Kikinda, a village in Eastern Serbia. The gourd fruits are light green, very slender and can reach a length of over 2 meters with optimal growth. For straight fruits, you should therefore let the plant grow very high (preferably in a greenhouse). If the plants trail along the ground, you will get a winding snake... Tip if you have plenty of fruits: harvested very young, you can eat the fruits as zucchini, and half-ripe you can harvest them as Lauki.
