New developments in mangetout cultivation! The flowers are a beautiful bicolour: wine-red with a light lilac to white standard, an ornament for the garden! For your own propagation, you must continue to select for the purest colour, the variety is still young and still needs some "stabilising"... The vigorously growing climber produces a high yield of deliciously tender, green pods! In the US, this variety is called "hyper-tendril" (semi-leafless), which means that the plants produce many tendrils instead of leaves, which you can harvest to mix into salads! 'Magnolia' promises to be a keeper and was developed by Alan Kapuler PhD.
