Yellow Peas have been forgotten for years because we are used to green peas... In the past, the Yellow Pea was very popular in South Limburg. Nowadays, it is widely sown by farmers as a "rest crop" to improve the soil. Yellow Peas are very strong and disease-resistant, a wonderful replacement for imported soy for silage... The difference with green peas is (besides the color) the extra easy cultivation and the fresher and sweeter taste! Well worth trying...
The plants grow to about 1 meter tall and do not really need support. When intercropping with Gold-of-Pleasure (390900), they stand even firmer.
In short, a versatile crop: for fresh consumption, for consumption after drying, as green manure, and as animal feed (including the fresh or dried stems and leaves)
1 kg is sufficient for 50 m².
