A traditional zucchini from French and Italian tradition with a very unique taste! Remarkable is its curled growth habit, changing from light green to ochre. Harvest them young (10-20 cm long) as a delicacy or slightly more mature (20-30 cm) to cut into slices. Once fully grown, the fruit can be prepared like a pumpkin. Please note: this variety is climbing or creeping. Give the plants some bean poles for support and they will climb meters high, making harvesting easier. The plants bear fruit for a long time and abundantly (if regularly harvested) and are less susceptible to powdery mildew. Cultivation in a greenhouse yields good results. Sow this variety early so that large plants can be planted out in May; initial fruit set takes some time.
Zucchinis can be grown outdoors without problems. This variety trails and can therefore be tied up if necessary. Cultivation in a greenhouse gives a larger harvest, but the plant takes up a lot of space. For consumption, harvest the fruits young to very young. For ornamental purposes, let them grow larger, then they can be stored.
