Chicory 'Videna' (Dutch Early-Mid Type) 1200 Seeds (2g)

  • Product number: 071010
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Cichorium intybus

Produces thick and firm heads. This improved selection yields beautiful heads when earthed up (i.e., with covering soil), but cultivation WITHOUT covering soil also works very well with this variety!

The chicory family includes endive, frizzy endive, and various types of chicory. Characteristic is the more or less present "bitterness," formerly disliked and now highly valued. Let a plant "bolt" occasionally: chicory flowers are usually beautiful blue in color and smell of vanilla!

Latin: Cichorium intybus
