This unknown fruit tree deserves much more attention! The plant grows in a large pot with us, during frost it needs to be placed at a minimum of 4°C, in summer preferably outdoors, in the sun.
The goal is to harvest the delicious fruits, which are 10 cm in diameter and have dark brown to almost black flesh. The green fruits ripen in autumn to dark yellow to brown, for this, place the plant in your greenhouse, conservatory or build a tent around it.
The soft flesh tastes slightly sweet with a nutty aftertaste, delicious in desserts or to spoon straight out! An extra bonus: the fruits contain at least double the amount of vitamin C compared to oranges. The plant is evergreen, the leaves are lanceolate.
