This old Italian variety is early, reliable, and strong, yielding an abundance of slicing beans up to 20 cm long. The seeds are light brown, betraying ancient roots: a Roma type. The flavor is excellent, just as a slicing bean should be. They are not all perfectly straight, so they are not suitable for professional cultivation in the Netherlands, but the taste is all the better!
