Sometimes nature surprises us. Among the usual flat pods of the climbing snap bean Gazela Wax, a selection emerged with beautiful round pods. Not pure enough to propagate further, but far too delicious to discard. The young pods can be harvested early, are buttery soft, and have the character of a yellow string bean. Therefore, we are offering this unique variation for a limited time.
The round pod shape is not yet fully stable. As a result, some plants may still produce the original flat-podded type. Even that is no hardship: they are delicious, mild-tasting snap beans!
