An old bean variety from Northern Germany, which, like the 'Mechelse Trosjes', forms flat pods. Wait to harvest until the beans in the pods are sufficiently thick; the 10-12 cm long pods can then be harvested. The wonderfully mild taste has earned this variety a recommendation from 'Slow Food Deutschland'.
