Dwarf French Beans, 'Prim' variety

  • Product number: 045330
  • Origin: Central and South America
  • Latin: Phaseolus vulgaris

Beans that cause less flatulence are big news! Primbeans were developed by the old English breeder Dr. Colin Leakey. In Chile, he found Manteca beans, which apparently did not cause colic in infants. He made this genetically unique bean suitable for our climate. A nice and, above all, very tasty creamy-greenish bean in an almost round shape.

Dry beans are harvested in various ways. Some varieties can be eaten with the whole pod, while others can only be eaten fresh or (mature) dry. Tip for storing dry beans: to prevent any bean weevil eggs from hatching, place the well-dried beans in the freezer for 24 hours.

Names:
Latin: Phaseolus vulgaris
