Bush dry bean (so it stays low). A very tasty dry bean selected for early ripening. Originally developed through classic plant breeding in Canada by the Kentville Research Station in Nova Scotia. Good yield and also very suitable as a soup bean. Attractive!
Dry beans are harvested in different ways. Some varieties can be eaten with the whole pod, others can only be eaten fresh or (matured) dry. Tip for storing dry beans: to prevent any bean fly eggs from hatching, place the well-dried beans in the freezer for 24 hours.
