A lovely old-fashioned shelling bean with a lemon-yellow color. Cooks into a delicious creamy soup. Low growing plant.
Shelling beans are harvested in various ways. Some varieties can be eaten pod and all, while others can only be eaten fresh or (mature) dried. Tip for storing dried beans: to prevent any bean fly eggs from hatching, place the well-dried beans in the freezer for 24 hours.
