Dry beans, Bush 'Cu-Bube'

  • Product number: 045132
  • Origin: Romania
  • Latin: Common bean

An exceptionally large historic dry bean!
Some beans make you wonder if nature has let an artist loose on them. The large seeds of CU-Bube are marked in creamy white, warm cinnamon brown, and deep black. No two beans are exactly alike; every harvest yields a handful of small works of art.
The plants remain compact and therefore do not climb. They focus all their energy on forming impressively large seeds, which, weighing almost one gram per bean, are about twice as heavy as an average dry bean. This not only makes the variety striking to look at but also exceptionally productive for lovers of cooking beans.

After cooking, the beans retain a full texture and, due to their generous size, are very suitable for hearty stews, salads, and winter meals. Of course, they also deserve a place in an ornamental or collector's collection.
A distinctive dry bean that immediately catches the eye due to both its size and its exceptional markings.
Some beans stand out for their taste, others for their history. CU-Bube goes one step further by also being one of the largest and most beautifully marked beans in our collection.
