ORGANICALLY GROWN SEEDS! This dwarf bean is eaten (young) as a whole pod or (more mature) shelled. The pod shape is wide and short. The color is strikingly reddish-brown mottled, becoming white with bright red spots when ripe. Due to this color, it is very popular for ornamental purposes! The beans are also beautifully colored: white with bright red markings. Popular in Italy due to its unique taste! Low-growing plant.
Dry beans are harvested in various ways. Some varieties can also be eaten with the whole pod, while others can only be eaten fresh or (matured) dried. Tip for storing dry beans: to prevent any bean fly eggs from hatching, place the well-dried beans in the freezer for 24 hours.
