A climbing Italian variety with curved, yellow pods. For the lover of a full-seeded bean, this is a true delicacy; the pod is completely stringless and creamy after cooking. The ripe beans are wine-red with white speckles and edible as dry beans. Late fruit set. Resembles the rare bean 'Sulfer'.
Dry beans are harvested in various ways. Some varieties are also edible with the whole pod, while others can only be eaten fresh or (matured) dried. Tip for storing dry beans: to prevent any bean fly eggs from hatching, place the well-dried beans in the freezer for 24 hours.
