A remarkably beautiful dry bean that retains its lovely colour even after cooking. A tropical bean, worth discovering in our country. Both fresh and ripe seeds are edible. When sowing, the beautiful beans are already visible: white with deep purple spots and patches. The bean loves a warm spot (a greenhouse is also fine!) and climbs along strings or poles. Lima beans have a buttery taste and creamy texture. Their distinct nutty flavour is sometimes compared to chestnuts.
