The name says it all: this is (as we say in Dordrecht) a giant beet! Long and especially thick beets with a rosy red color. In England, a show winner, due to the substantial weight of a full-grown beet: 8-10 kg is common, in 2009 the record even stood at 23.1 kg! Loosen the soil deeply, you can also grow them on ridges. Harvesting young is a delight, but even a full-grown giant tastes fantastic! A customer told us: "The Mammouth is exceptionally sweet. Even sweeter than an Egyptian flat round, I think." Culinary tip: slice this red and white-ringed beet thinly and deep-fry them into delicious chips.
