Curly Endive 'Gloire de L'Exposition' / 'Fine de Louviers'

  • Product number: 010070
  • Origin: Mediterranean Region
  • Latin: Endive

Beautiful, finely curled and thinly structured endive. Forms a nice yellow heart with a tender taste. Too much rain is unfavorable.

The chicory family includes endive, frizzy endive and various types of chicory. Characteristic is the more or less present "bitter" taste, formerly loathed and now highly appreciated. Let a plant "bolt" sometime: chicory flowers are usually beautifully blue in color and smell of vanilla!

Names:
Latin: Cichorium endivia
Dutch: Krulandijvie
Also known as: Fine de Louviers
English: Endive, Green Moss Curled
