Pineapple Cherry Small

  • Product number: 004810
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Physalis pruinosa

A particularly edible relative of the well-known Chinese lantern plant. The plant grows to 50-75cm, and after flowering, the lanterns with the aromatic sweet, orange-yellow berries appear. The taste is a mix of pineapple, strawberry, and tomato with a slight bitterness. Harvestable when the husks turn yellow, after which they can be stored for quite a long time. Harvestable slightly earlier (ripens sooner) and more compact in shape than Physalis peruviana.

Latin: Physalis pruinosa
