Old-fashioned and decorative, annual vegetable, making a comeback. The leaves can be harvested as spinach after 6 - 7 weeks. If the plant continues to grow, strawberry-like fruits will appear after 1-2 months! The difference with strawberry blight (C. capitatum) is the placement of the fruits, which are distributed along the stem followed by a few leaves. Decorative in dishes, but also a surprise as an ornamental plant. Use the fruits to color juices (in the blender) or as decoration in salads. You won't get much pleasure from (just) the fruits alone, as they taste rather neutral.
