Sowing method: Sowing is possible from early January to late March for same-year fruit, and from April to July for harvest the following year; sow at 22°C (20-25°C). Sowing medium: cocopeat with silver sand; sieve the top layer with a kitchen sieve to get extra fine soil. After spreading the fine seeds, press them lightly and sieve a very thin layer of the aforementioned sowing soil over the seeds. Keep moist by misting with water, do not make it too wet and do not place in direct sunlight. If no germination is visible after 4 weeks, the seed tray can be placed in the refrigerator for 1 day, then returned to 22°C. Prick out the seedlings when the first true leaf has appeared (usually after 4-6 weeks). Harden off the plants sufficiently before planting them in the garden or containers. Regular fertilisation is necessary, but over-fertilisation is harmful!
