A yellow-skinned potato, harvestable mid-season, with fairly firm flesh and good flavour. A versatile potato, and for the enthusiastic breeder, this is a very good crossable variety to experiment with further.
Our Swiss potato enthusiast Stefan Griesser grows interesting potatoes from seed and develops them into reproducible seed-bearing varieties. We are including some of these varieties in our assortment, hoping that hobbyists or small-scale growers will enjoy cultivating them. Sowing potatoes is a fun adventure, which is common practice for breeders of new varieties! The initial cultivation is similar to tomatoes: sow, prick out, and plant out in April-May (no night frost!)
