Most offspring of this variety yield blue tuber flesh, with some white or red ones occurring. Harvesting is mid-season, sometimes with a late plant among them. Firm tuber flesh and a good taste! This variety originated from a cross performed by Karsten Ellenberg: the one who saved the 'Linda' variety from extinction by stirring up a popular movement.
Our Swiss potato enthusiast Stefan Griesser grows interesting potatoes from seed and turns them into well-reproducible seed-bearing varieties. We include some of these varieties in our assortment, hoping that hobbyists or small growers will enjoy cultivating them. Sowing potatoes is a fun adventure, which is normal for breeders of new varieties! The initial cultivation is similar to tomatoes: sow, prick out and plant out in April-May (no night frost!)
