This special plant is a great eye-catcher in the garden or (large) pot. Once growing, the enormous, deeply incised leaves, which can reach a diameter of 1 m, unfold! The plant is very hardy and develops a stem, which can of course also be pruned. A type of rice paper is made from the stem and stalks, to which the plant owes its name. For an exotic look in the garden, this is a top choice. The plant tolerates full sun well, but some shade from another plant or a fence helps with optimal growth. At an older age, the plant blooms at the top with an enormous plume of light yellow flowers, very popular with bees and other insects. It is said that the root of the plant is edible.
