A South African, aromatic plant with a stocky growth habit. Pruning quickly creates a thick, gnarled trunk ("worsie"), giving it the appearance of a bonsai tree. The rather thick, hairy leaves are very tolerant of sun and drought and are dark green with a purple sheen. The light blue labiate flowers grow on long spikes and add extra ornamental value to the plant! This plant is so robust that you'd have to try hard to kill it... Overwinter indoors, as the plant cannot tolerate frost. Everything on the plant is edible; the mint aroma with a hint of thyme and sage is very versatile.
