Early strawberry 'Deutsch Evern'

A variety that was the standard in Germany from 1902 until just after 1960, introduced by Plantage Deutsch Evern and a descendant of 'Laxton's Noble' and 'Sieger'. The medium-sized fruits ripen early, are irregularly shaped and deliciously aromatic. The flesh is light in color. Replant them regularly to keep the fruits at a good size. (bnkk)
Our strawberry collection partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only sparingly available. Annually in July, a new crop is potted by our grower, which is delivered in September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment.
