The large, long, dark red fruits (loganberries) probably originated from a spontaneous cross between a blackberry and a raspberry. The taste is particularly aromatic, with a hint of sourness. Delicious in a punch, but also for jam, wine, desserts, etc. During flowering (in dry conditions), give them enough water to ensure good fruit set.
